About Us
Our Mission
We are dedicated to increasing the proficiency of risk management professionals through education and the free and open exchange of ideas through educational events, seminars and networking opportunities, and by encouraging research into risk management topics and issues.
The Connecticut Chapter of the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) was formed in the 1980s to serve all governmental entities in Connecticut by supporting the professional development of those employed in the risk management field.
Our members represent local governments, school districts, retired municipal risk managers, public entities and business associations that provide risk management services.
CT PRIMA conducts seminars and other educational events designed to build and strengthen the skills of our members, and also cooperate with and encourage relationships with business associations engaged in insurance and risk management, especially with respect to education and training.
